The Solution Studio writes proposals for large SAP programs. I was picked from about 12 Solution Managers to lead AI for the team, and shipped four GenAI tools that all of them use.
Every proposal needs a team section: a short, consistent bio for each person, tied to their role on the project. Solution Managers wrote these by hand from scattered sources, often for a dozen people at a time. It took about a day per RFP, and quality varied.
Bios weren't the only repeated work. Pursuit strategy and Clean Core messaging were rebuilt from scratch on almost every deal.
I ran every tool through the same loop. I found a pain point, prototyped, and checked the AI output against the manual version. Then I rolled it out to the Solution Managers and revised it from their feedback.
To get started, I requested ChatGPT pilot access for the Studio in 2024, early in the firm's rollout.
Standard two-paragraph team bios from existing profiles. Used across 20+ RFPs.
Links a client's business goals to initiatives, SAP systems and benefits, using the firm's pursuit method and win themes.
Helps people explain Clean Core and build Clean Core scoring tools.
Automated summaries of Studio meetings.
Every Solution Manager on the team adopted all four tools. The bio writer alone saves about a day per proposal, roughly 150 hours across the RFPs it has been used on so far.
I also became the go-to person on the team for AI questions, delivery plans and client issues.
If you're building AI or platform products, I'd like to hear about it.
